The intent of this training is to familiarize US military biomedical technicians with service procedures for our ACP 215® system’s annual Preventive Maintenance requirement. This course is conducted on-line via the internet with a multi-media approach to remote learning, including interactive review and examination, along with embedded videos demonstrating PM procedure steps per the ACP 215 Service Manual (also provided). This consultation course is for blood center management and staff and demonstrates the safest and most efficient use of apheresis devices, as well as the best ways for centers to conduct validation and quality control.(AVAILABILITY: Canada, US)
This training class is for any blood center staff member who may have contact with a blood donor. The program focuses on the industry best practices for automated red cell collections, including industry trends, right type donor mix, eligibility and suitability standards, the importance of a strong automated red cell program, the steps for donor conversion, and handling objections.(AVAILABILITY: Canada, US)
This course includes 1.5 days of classroom training and 5+ days of on-the-job training. The class is designed for blood bank staff with little or no experience with apheresis equipment.(AVAILABILITY: Canada, US)
This half-day (4 hours) training class is for operators who are already proficient with apheresis devices and protocols. The program focuses on technical issues and provides an in-depth review of programming and protocols to enable operators to troubleshoot any potentially difficult problems. Attendance is recommended 1 or 2 times per calendar year for ongoing education and to maintain protocol proficiency.(AVAILABILITY: Canada, US)
This 2.5 day “train-the-trainer” intensive course is for experienced operators who will be the next center trainers. The program prepares your staff trainers to perform troubleshooting, advanced device operations, and quality control; train other staff using standard Haemonetics’ educational materials; and act as resident experts on apheresis equipment, protocols, and donor conversion.(AVAILABILITY: Canada, US)
This 1 day “train-the-trainer” course is for blood center employees who are already proficient in Haemonetics protocols and are responsible for conducting on-the-job training. This training program will show participants what to emphasize during the hands-on portion of a new employee’s training, and will also enable them to become resident experts on apheresis equipment, protocols, and donor conversion. Note: Individuals who take the STAT training do not need to take the preceptor class.(AVAILABILITY: Canada, US)
