Our cardioPAT® cardiovascular perioperative autotransfusion system is a fully automated device that collects, washes, and returns your patients’ blood during and after cardiac surgery giving them the best chance at avoiding unnecessary allogeneic transfusions and related risks of infection. By consistently delivering fresh red blood cells with high hematocrit, the cardioPAT system helps to ensure that your patients receive their own high-quality blood with a reduced chance of infection. The processing of autologous blood, separation of plasma, cell debris, and undesirable contaminants, as well as collection into the reinfusion bag, are performed automatically. The cardioPAT system is completely portable with an integrated battery and vacuum pump that allows you to support your patients throughout the complete continuum of care.
