Haemonetics Employees Make Strides Against Breast Cancer in Covina, CA

[back to news]

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Breast cancer is an illness that afflicts millions each year, surmising one in every four cancer diagnoses in women.

In October, Haemonetics employees and their families in Covina, CA participated in the American Cancer Society's Making Strides event in Santa Monica. They participated under the team name "Pink Ribbons" and walked with hundreds of others through the city to raise awareness and funding for breast cancer research. Although progress is being made, diagnoses of breast cancer continue to rise; one in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime.
