Board of Directors
Lawrence Best has been a Board Member since 2003. Mr. Best recently retired as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Boston Scientific. Previously, he was a partner in the accounting firm of Ernst & Young. He has served as a fellow at the Securities and Exchange Commission and as a White House-appointed Presidential Exchange Executive. (Audit Committee Member)
Susan Bartlett Foote has been a Board Member since 2004. She is currently Professor and head of the Division of Health Service Research and Policy at the School of Public Health at the University of Minnesota. (Compensation Committee Member)
Brian Concannon was promoted to President and Chief Executive Officer, and elected to Haemonetics’ Board of Directors in April 2009. Mr. Concannon joined Haemonetics in 2003 as President, Patient Division and held positions of increased responsibility prior to assuming his current role.
Ronald Gelbman has been a Board Member since 2000. Previously, he was a Johnson and Johnson ("J&J") Executive Committee Member and J&J Worldwide Chairman for Health Systems and Diagnostics. (Chairman of the Nominating/Governance Committee; Audit Committee Member)
Pedro Granadillo has been a Board Member since 2004. Previously, he was Senior Vice President at Eli Lilly and Company with responsibility over global manufacturing and human resources. (Compensation Committee Chairman; Nominating/Governance Committee Member)
Mark Kroll, Ph.D., has been a Board Member since January 2006. Dr. Kroll recently retired as Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President of the Cardiac Rhythm Management Division of St. Jude Medical, Inc. (Nominating/Governance Committee Member)
Ronald Merriman has been a board member since July 2005. Mr. Merriman is currently Manager of Merriman Partners, a consulting business for professional service firms. Previously, Mr. Merriman held various senior level positions, including Vice Chair, at KPMG. (Audit Committee Chairman)
Brad Nutter was appointed Chairman of the Board in January 2008. He has been a Board Member as well as President and Chief Executive Officer of Haemonetics since April 2003. Previously, Mr. Nutter was President and Chief Executive Officer of Gambro Healthcare, a $1.3 billion international dialysis provider business.
