Munich, Germany, Feb. 23, 2010 – Haemonetics GmbH (NYSE: HAE) today announced that it has filed a legal action against Stradis-Med GmbH and its General Manager, Jochen Kirschner for infringement of two Haemonetics utility models (DE 200 10 825 U1 and DE 203 10 937 U1) related to its proprietary plasma technology. Haemonetics seeks to stop Stradis-Med GmbH and Mr. Kirschner from selling plasma bottles that Haemonetics alleges are infringing its utility models. The plasma bottles in question are apparently supplied by Chinese manufacturer Nigale.
